Ian helped Dada dig a hole and plant a shade tree in our backyard...thanks to Grandma Hattie. Doesn't he look THRILLED! :-)
Ian got his first fishing lesson this week up at Pinewood Reservoir. First he and Mama took a hike around the lake -- and he walked almost the entire 1+ miles himself, with a couple breaks to throw rocks into the lake:
Mike finally said farewell to grandma's 'Mighty Mercury' and has moved on to the 'Cushy Commuter.' Hopefully the Mighty Mercury will serve it's new owner (Tim Normandin's son) just as well as it did us. However, Mike has thouroughly enjoyed the consistent cruise control, XM radio, and smooth ride of his new commuter (2008 consumer report car of the year for small sedan)! Here are a couple pics:
We had a great time with Brad, Yvette and crew up in Evergeen at Yvette's friends house. Mike got to go mtn biking with a bunch of "real riders," and Luna's good friend Kenya introduced her to the 'other black lab friend' Lila. They all hit it off immediately. Here are a few pictures.

Ian decided he needed to take some pics too...not too bad for a first try!
Its time to strap on the laser tag vest and show everybody what you're REALLY made of ... friendly competition, of course!
We'll be celebrating Jen's 33rd Birthday on Aug 23rd. Starting at Ft. Fun for a couple hours of pretending like we're still kids (laser tag, arcade, mini-bowling, air hockey, go karts, mini-golf....), then we'll be off to Coopersmith's for more fun, pool, pizza and drinks. Please join us at both or either places! Hope to see you there!!
